Cuz it’s not. But I thought I’d start writing down what I eat anyway so I could be more conscious of what I eat, and try to make subtle changes.
Breakfast:
Generic Honey Nut Cheerios - 1 bowl with 1% Milk
Lunch :
2 Soft Boiled Eggs
1 Banana
1 coffee with Milk
Snack: 1 cello chocolate covered cherry
Dinner:
Rice and small piece of beef steak - didn’t finish
Snack:
Handful of chips and salsa
Now to engorge myself with water.
Ugh don’t want to discuss my weight/food choices right now (I think you can tell I am doing dismally)
I just have a tumblr noob problem. Does everyone have a word limit when replying to messages and stuff? It’s so annoying! It’s the reason I’m not on Twitter! I can’t express myself in lyrical prose and hyperboles if there’s a word limit! I refuse to speak in haikus, or text message speak (as in, IDK My BFF Jill kind of speak).
thehealthexperiment asked: Also, during stressful events in your life your body naturally increases its cortisol level which tells your body to hang on to weight and water. As soon as life settles down a bit your cortisol levels will drop! I just don't want you to get discouraged! :) I totally know how frustrating it can be...but know that each small step is getting you closer...don't lose hope! Thank you, I hope everything turns out alright too. It makes sense, I’ve been pretty stressed and I haven’t even had time to exercise or log on. Your story is amazing by the way, you had a long way to go and you followed through, which makes me feel better about having a faraway goal (ideally I’d like to lose 70 lbs.).=]
So I just started this blog, and I already encountered a few problems. I accidentally put the wrong email address in when I was registering, so when I signed out and signed back in, I couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t log in. I thought I had entered the correct email address. I had to email Tumblr because I had no idea what email address I gave them and thankfully they answered me right back. This is the first reason I haven’t blogged in a few days.
Secondly, something very serious has happened in my life that is going to change everything forever. My sister had to go to the hospital two days ago (for reasons I can’t share), and it’s taken priority in my life.
While this is happening though, I will try my best to continue my healthy lifestyle and continue with this blog. Unfortunately, I feel like I’ve taken a HUGE step back because I’ve gained 3 lbs. 3 LBS! 3LBS!!!!!
Why did I gain 3 lbs. in ONE DAY?! That’s what I’d like to know. The day my sister went to the hospital, we were there the whole day, from 8 am to 8pm. My dad bought us breakfast in the form of ham, egg, and cheese sandwiches (I don’t eat sandwiches anymore). I tried not to eat the whole hero, but as the day went by, I got hungry so I ate it piece by piece. Then we didn’t get home from the hospital till around 9:30pm, and my mom stayed at the hospital overnight, so I heated up some soup from the night before and added some noodles. The worst thing I did was that I had 2 bowls. This means I had two helpings of veggies and potatoes and noodles. CARBS CARBS CARBS.
So in summation, I had a ham, egg and cheese sandwich for breakfast and lunch, and 2 bowls of carb soup for dinner, but I still don’t see how this adds up to +3lbs!
So now I’m considering seeing a dietician or nutritionist because I clearly don’t know what I’m doing. I lost weight when I was in high school (40lbs) and all I did was eat carbs. It was a weird (bad) sort of diet but when I was on it, I could eat bad for a week and only gain a lb. or 2. Now that I’m eating almost flawlessly, one seemingly bad day and the whole operation goes to pot. I just don’t get the human body, I honestly don’t.

I think no such thing! I get so excited to see people with my same height and weight because I always think to myself, “yep, I’m right there with ya.”
I’m starting to think that maybe I shouldn’t use WiiFit anymore though, because it requires me to weigh myself everyday and even though I know we have 2lbs. in weight fluctuations, I still get disillusioned when I see that my weight is a little more than it was the day before. I really REALLY enjoy the yoga and strength training though, I actually feel stronger and healthier because of it now. What do you like about it?

In your post, it says you usually plateau at around 175-178? I'm 100% sure you can get past this range, but I was wondering if you ever changed anything with your workout routine when you reached this weight. I have a few posts about "plateauing" after losing a bunch of weight and finding it harder to get over this hump. I’d be super grateful to get any plateauing tips, so link away! I usually plateau at this weight because I just start feeling somewhat confident so I go out and drink and have fun and be merry and just eventually give up. I keep losing and gaining the same 20 lbs over and over again and it just kills me that I have to keep starting over. Thanks for the support and the advice, I hope this time I’ll follow through.

Hmm my favorite healthy food…that’s tough because I have a few. I love grilled chicken, I love hummus and pita bread, and I love love LOVE sunflower seeds, they’re an amazing low calorie snack that fills me up and takes a while to eat, so you have something in your mouth to fulfill any oral fixations :p
As for my favorite exercise I’d have to say I like to mix it up so I don’t get bored. I play Dance Dance Revolution. It’s uber fun and makes me sweat buckets, but I also like to power walk on nice days.
